- Posture is Everything: Owning a Pilates studio for 25 years taught me the transformative power of posture. When you improve how you hold your body, everything else changes too.
- Muscle Building: As muscle mass naturally decreases with age, it’s crucial to build it. Hit the gym and focus on strength training.
- Move Daily: Whether it’s walking, stretching, swimming, or yoga, make movement a daily habit.
- Aches and Pains: They’re normal but get worse if you don’t move. Stay active to manage discomfort.
- Hydration: Aim for two liters of water a day. Staying hydrated is key for overall health.
- Post-Workout Wind Down: After a gym session, spend at least 10 minutes cooling down to help balance the chemicals and hormones in your body.
- Just Do It: Like brushing your teeth or doing the dishes, exercise might not always be enjoyable, but it’s necessary. The stronger your muscles and joints, the better your body will age.
- Foot Care: Your feet carry you every day and have 26 bones each. Keep them active with stretches, flexes, and circles.
- Strong muscles: Equals strong joints, perfect to keep your body moving as you age.
- Consistent Exercise for Energy Flow: Regular exercise helps to move energy through your body, essential for feeling unstuck and vibrant.
